As I am looking around my house, the last thing my kids need are more toys. There is just stuff everywhere. The harder part is now that my daughter is 10, a lot of these toys are going untouched and just taking up space.
Ugh and then I remember, my daughter is ten. My son is 8. Our time with them is flying and I honestly don’t have the mental capacity to process that. I won’t go on about how fast life moves, but it really does fly!
So this is the perfect time to skip gifts and give the gift of A Disney vacation.
Wouldn’t you rather enjoy some time together and make some memories, instead of staying up until 4am on Christmas Eve building toys?
But my kids do look forward to having something under the tree. And I have to admit, I look forward to seeing their faces Christmas morning. That is why I came up with some Disney Trip Reveal ideas on how to give your kids the gift of a Disney vacation that will still let you put something under the tree.

Disney Themed Gifts
Buy them their own Disney carry-on luggage and fill it with new clothes, costumes, ears and any other items they may need for the trip! Here is a list to help you get started:
Lanyards and pins for trading from eBay
Activity book for the plane or car ride
Letters From Santa
Another idea is to have Santa write a letter saying “You are Going to Disney World”. I actually have a free one for you here!
And guess what- while it’s a letter from Santa you get all the credit.
Scavenger Hunt Trip Reveal
Maybe you don’t want to give more gifts but want to do something fun Christmas morning!
I got you covered! Here is a free Disney themed scavenger hunt you can hide around your house that will get your kids excited about a Disney World Vacation!
Gift Cards
Gift cards are a great way to help you save while letting them have the experience they want. As a reminder, you can use Disney gift cards anywhere at Disney World! I like to look at the experiences they want to have and put the amount on the card. You can do this anywhere, from a dining experience to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to Building a Droid to general shopping!
Get Your Elf Involved
For our very first trip, the kids went to school. When they came home, our elves were gone but they left a note that said “We will meet you in Disney World.” They had no idea we were going that night and were so excited! It was a lot of fun and a great memory!
Making Memories Before Your Trip!
Your vacation memories should begin long before you board the plane or start driving there! Make the trip reveal special for your family and start making memories as soon as you book! Remember, all you need is a $200 deposit to book a Disney World vacation. And I can help! Email me at kristina.wertheimer@storybooktrips.com to get started!
